Focus Awards Level 2 Skin Care And Facial Treatments

The aim of the Focus Awards Level 2 Award in Skin Care and Facial Treatments (RQF) is to provide learners with the knowledge and understanding to safely provide facial treatments to clients. Learners will develop the skills required to practice according to health and safety requirements in a salon environment, gain suitable communication skills to care for clients. Learners will develop their knowledge of facial anatomy and physiology, legal considerations, and be able to prepare for and provide skin care information and facials to clients.

Health And Safety.
The aim of this unit is to provide learners with the knowledge and understanding of health and safety within the salon environment.
Client Care
The aim of this unit is to develop the learners’ knowledge and understanding of client care and communication. Learners will develop the ability to adapt the provision of client care and their communication skills to the needs of different clients.
Skin Care And Facial Treatments
The aim of this unit is to develop knowledge and understanding of facial anatomy, legislation, and facial treatments. Learners will develop their skills in providing facial treatments.
This course includes all course materials, equipment and models provided to complete case study work and assessments.
Students need to complete home study, assignments and attend the academy for two days practical to pass this course.
Age Ranges: Entry is at the discretion of the centre. However, learners should be aged 16 to undertake this qualification Geographical Coverage: This qualification is available in England and Northern Ireland.
Learner Entry Requirements: Focus Awards does not set any other entry requirements, but additional criteria may be requested or specified by the centre.
